Mittelerde ohne Gandalf (egal ob weiß oder grau) geht natürlich gar nicht, deswegen hat der kleine Hobbit ein Jahr später noch etwas Gesellschaft bekommen. 
Der Größenunterschied stimmt hier allerdings nicht. Sind beide in etwa gleich groß.
